We’ll Walk Together
Being able to tell your story and feel heard can support emotional awareness and regulation. Together, we’ll work toward attainable goals to help you navigate challenges that may be affecting your daily life and your journey through pregnancy, postpartum, or motherhood.
Perinatal Therapy Services.
At Southeast Perinatal Counseling, we provide virtual perinatal therapy for women across Georgia and South Carolina
Our work is centered on supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, fertility challenges, grief, and the emotional transitions that can come with motherhood and identity shifts. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and not alone in your experience.
Preconception.
Working with a licensed therapist can be helpful when exploring your thoughts and feelings about becoming a parent. I support individuals and couples as they navigate the emotions, questions, and decisions that can arise when considering pregnancy—whether you are planning for the future or pursuing parenthood as a single parent by choice. This is a space to slow down, reflect, and explore what feels right for you at this stage of your journey.
Infertility.
Reproductive difficulties affect more families than one can imagine. Struggling to conceive is often an invisible struggle that’s met with lack of understanding, pressured society expectations, and complicated grief. Your story is important and this is one aspect of your story that is as significant as the outcome. You are enough and what you’re doing is enough. You are worthy. Let’s affirm this together.
Pregnancy
Pregnancy can bring a wide range of emotions, including excitement, anxiety, uncertainty, and sadness. While it’s often expected to feel joyful, many women also experience overwhelm, worry, or low mood during this time. We offer a supportive, compassionate space to explore prenatal anxiety and depression and the emotional changes that can come with pregnancy. The goal is to help you feel more understood and supported as you build tools that bring greater ease, stability, and emotional balance during this season.
Postpartum.
Being a parent is hard. I’m a mama, I know firsthand. Trying to juggle this new transition while being in your other roles can be met with sadness, loneliness, feeling sleep deprived, not being able to bond, flooding thoughts, and so much more. The responsibility you’re holding is so great that sometimes during this stage help is needed. Develop skills to manage your thoughts and feelings while strengthening the beliefs that support you as a parent.
Grief and Loss
Grief and loss during the perinatal period can feel overwhelming, isolating, and difficult to put into words. We offer a supportive space to process pregnancy loss, infant loss, and other forms of reproductive grief with care, compassion, and understanding. Together, we’ll honor your experience while working toward emotional healing at a pace that feels right for you.
Infant Hospitalizations & Diagnosis.
Being hospitalized and receiving a diagnosis can feel overwhelming and frightening—especially when it involves your little one. The medical information alone can be a lot to take in, on top of adjusting to a new and uncertain reality. I have experience supporting parents navigating these kinds of situations. Feelings of sadness, worry, fear, and uncertainty are all valid, and you don’t have to carry them alone. As a mama myself, I understand how heavy this can feel, and I’m here to walk alongside you through it.
Women’s Issues.
It can be tough to navigate life as you’re moving towards healing and discovering who you are. There are so many issues that women face and it’s important for you to feel safe and heard as you work through these issues. You are not alone. The negative thoughts and being uncertain of what tomorrow looks like can be scary but it is common when you’re experiencing stressors. Let’s process this together and establish ways to manage and integrate changes where you feel empowered and in control.
